This Multi-Tier™ Plate is a patented modular, reusable system featuring a 96-well base plate securing 0.5mL conical polypropylene inserts. With the addition of spacers (96M-11T), this reusable system can be used with larger volume inserts (1.0mL, 1.5mL, or 2.0mL).
The vented design of the base plate assures uniform heating and cooling when immersed in a water bath. The cover locks the liner in place and prevents vial pullout. The prescored PTFE/Silicone/PTFE liner permits easy needle penetration, while the optional Molded PTFE/Silicone liner (96M-16) locks into each of the 96 vials and reseals after multiple injections thus reducing the chance of solvent evaporation and cross contamination.
- Standard 8x12 (96-well) footprint with an alphanumeric grid.
- Includes 0.5mL Polypropylene (PP) Conical Vials (replacement vial loader is 96I-0450P)
- Secure fit of the vials in the baseplate permit use with shaker and vortex mixers during sample preparations.
- Compatible with all autosamplers and robotic liquid handling systems.
- Replacement Inserts in simple Vial Loader Packaging so user can load all 96 inserts in a single motion.
To use the Vial Loader in the Multi-Tier™ Plate
- Peel away the packaging and place an empty base plate on top of the vial loader.
- Invert the entire unit, the plate is ready to use!
Vial loader inserts are availabe in a variety of volumes (0.5mL, 1.0mL, 1.5mL, or 2.0mL). Glass or polypropylene with either a conical or flat bottom.
Why Use Polypropylene Inserts in a 96-Well Plate Format?
- Easy removal of sample from plate (removing insert)
- Minimize waste with radioactive/hazardous samples
What is a Topas Plate?
Plates manufactured in Topas (COC - Cyclic Olefin Copolymers) have excellent clarity and heat/chemical resistance. The plates can be autoclaved and sterilized, are heat resistant to 70º C, and are UV transparent down to 300nm. If your application is going above 70° C, then, we would recommend the Aluminum base plate system.
