Cap, screw, blue, certified, PTFE/red silicone septa, 1,000/pk. Cap size: 12 mm
These 9 mm blue screw caps come in 1,000/pks and include a press-fit septum made from white PTFE/red silicone septum bi-layer. This combination is suited for a broad range of applications, however, is one of the main choices for HPLC applications where the sample is less volatile and/or were snap or crimp style vials are not appropriate. This particular version is the most-widely used design for 2 mL vials. It is compatible wth all wide-opening 2 mL glass and polyproplene vials, 2 mL micro vials and 2 mL High Recovery Vials. While it is the most common option for 2 mL vials a close second are snap top style vials, however, they are less common. These screw caps being press-fit (non-bonded) are the most sustainable cap option as the various components can be separated for easier disposal and recycling.
