Vial, screw top, 2 mL, clear, certified, 1,000/pk. These wide-opening 2 mL screw top vials come as a 1,000/pk and are made from clear glass composed of 5% borosilicate material rated as Type 1 Class for superior hydrolytic, acid and alkali resistance from a chemical perspective while also offering minimum thermal expansion and shock from a mechanical perspective. This screw top style of vial is the most common choice or where crimp or snap top styles are not appropriate based on the sample matrix and/or operating conditions of the analytical workflow. Screw top vials are also suited for a broad range of applications, however, is one of the main choices for LC and LCMS applications where the sample is more volatile and/or were snap or screw style vials are not appropriate. Screw top style vials tend to be slightly more expensive than compared to crimp or snap top style vials due to the requirement for a thread design which has an additional cost when manufacturing.
