Idex Inline Filters

IDEX Inline MicroFilters and Inline Filters

IDEX Inline MicroFilters and Inline Filters provide dependable particulate protection for HPLC and low-pressure fluidic systems by capturing contaminants originating from mobile phases, samples, pump seals, or injection valve wear. By removing particles before they reach sensitive components, these inline filters help prevent clogging, stabilize system pressure, and extend column life.

IDEX Inline MicroFilters are available in 100% biocompatible PEEK and feature an ultra-low 240 nL void volume, making them ideal for microbore and capillary applications. Two connection options are offered: direct connection for 1/32" OD tubing, or compatibility with MicroTight® tubing sleeves for 70–520 μm OD capillary tubing—providing flexible integration into compact flow paths.

Standard IDEX Inline Filters are engineered for placement directly along the flow path between the pump and injection valve or autosampler. Offered in multiple porosities, these filters allow users to tailor particulate retention to their specific application while maintaining reliable flow performance across analytical systems.

Key Definitions â–¶
Frequently Asked Questions â–¶
What do IDEX inline filters protect?
IDEX inline filters capture particulates originating from mobile phases, samples, pump seals, and injection valves—helping prevent clogging of columns and sensitive downstream components.
What is the difference between Inline MicroFilters and standard Inline Filters?
Inline MicroFilters feature ultra-low void volume (240 nL) and are optimized for microbore and capillary applications, while standard Inline Filters are designed for broader inline particulate protection along the main LC flow path.
Are the Inline MicroFilters biocompatible?
Yes. Inline MicroFilters are available in 100% PEEK, providing excellent chemical resistance and biocompatibility for analytical and life science applications.
What tubing sizes are supported?
Inline MicroFilters support direct connection to 1/32" OD tubing or can be used with MicroTight® tubing sleeves for 70–520 μm OD capillary tubing, offering flexible integration into compact flow paths.
Where should I place an inline filter in my system?
Inline filters are ideally positioned between the pump and injection valve or autosampler to intercept particulates before they reach columns or detectors.
Are multiple filter porosities available?
Yes. IDEX Inline Filters are offered in a variety of porosities, allowing you to select the appropriate particle retention level for your specific application.
