Chrom Tech offers a full selection of IDEX Very High Pressure (VHP) fittings engineered for extreme pressure and temperature chromatography applications. Manufactured from a proprietary PK polymer blend, these fittings outperform standard PEEK by delivering superior pressure tolerance and thermal stability—making them ideal for demanding UHPLC and capillary LC workflows.

VHP one-piece fittings are available for 10-32 coned, 6-32 coned, and M4 coned ports, while two-piece VHP fittings support both 1/16" and 1/32" OD tubing with 10-32 coned connections. This flexible platform allows users to configure systems for analytical, microflow, and capillary-scale separations.

VHP MicroFerrules

VHP MicroFerrules are constructed from a high-performance PK polymer blend that enables reliable use of capillary tubing in UHPLC environments. Available for 1/32" and 360 µm OD tubing, these ferrules are incorporated across multiple VHP products to support precise, low-dead-volume connections for microflow applications.

Reusable VHP Fittings

IDEX Reusable VHP fittings are capable of up to ten repeat assembly cycles with no loss in pressure integrity or chromatographic performance. Because the system utilizes a polymer front ferrule, there is no damage to tubing or receiving ports—extending component lifespan and reducing replacement costs.

Stainless Steel VHP Fittings

Stainless Steel VHP fittings feature a unique dual-compression ferrule design that delivers exceptional grip without collapsing tubing ID. For 1/16" OD tubing with 10-32 coned ports, the ferrule is two-piece. For 1/32" OD tubing with M4 coned ports, the design uses a one-piece ferrule that provides two compression zones during tightening—ensuring reliable sealing and long-term performance.

Tech Tip: While PK polymer fittings provide higher pressure capability than standard PEEK, some molded PK components can be electrically conductive. MicroFerrules are port-specific and not interchangeable, and one-piece MicroTight fittings should not be mixed between different port types.
