Centrifuge Filter Tubes
Centrifuge filter tubes provide a fast, centrifuge-based method for small-volume sample filtration, particle removal, and biological separations. Each unit combines a sample chamber and a receiver tube so filtrate is cleanly collected during centrifugation with minimal sample loss.
Chrom Tech centrifuge filter tubes are available in micro, midi, and maxi formats to match common lab workflows—ranging from HPLC sample preparation and bacteria/particulate removal to cell separation and DNA recovery from agarose or acrylamide gels. Durable polypropylene housings deliver excellent chemical resistance and consistent performance across high-speed centrifugation steps.
Micro formats support up to 850 µL with ultra-low hold-up volume for scarce samples. Midi formats handle 4 mL for routine cleanup and concentration steps. Maxi formats accommodate up to 25 mL for preparative work and are compatible with fixed-angle rotor centrifuges, making them ideal for larger-volume processing.
All tubes feature clearly graduated receiver vessels and dual-purpose caps that seal the sample chamber during centrifugation and the receiver tube afterward. Standard units are supplied non-sterile but are autoclavable at 121 °C (250 °F) and 15 psi for 15 minutes for sterile workflows.
Chrom Tech Filter Plates and Tubes can also be supplied as sterile and DNase/RNase & protease-free certified plastics. For custom configurations or certified formats, contact Chrom Tech for a personalized quote.
