Zirconia Based HPLC Columns
Zirchrom Zirconia Based HPLC Columns
PBD (USP L49)
- Great peak shapes for basic compounds
- A reversed-phase like material, but with slightly different selectivity. Stable from pH 1-14
- Not as hydrophobic as typical C18-silica phases, so less organic solvent is required
- Selectivity is modifiable through the addition of a strong Lewis base to the mobile phase such as fluoride, phosphate or hydroxide
CARB
- Quality comparable or better than HypercarbTM at a lower price
- Very different selectivity than ODS or polymeric materials; a good alternative when ODS does not work
- Better for geometrical isomer separations than ODS or normal phase LC
- Superb for separating diastereomers
C18
- Ideal for separating steroids and analogues
- Excellent selectivity for acidic compounds
- pH stable from 1 – 14 for robust methods
- Excellent thermal stability for fast separations
WAX (Stable from pH 3 – 9, and to 80 ºC)
- Cross-linked polyethyleneimine-coated zirconia for weak anion-exchange
- Efficient weak anion-exchanger useful for inorganic and organic anions
- Useful for the separation of bio-molecules such as nucleotides, nuceosides, oligonucleotides, oligodeoxynucleotides, amino acids, peptides, and proteins
- Extremely stable amino phase for normal phase separation of carbohydrates
SAX (Stable from pH 1 – 2, and to 80 ºC)
- Cross-linked polyethyleneimine-coated zirconia for strong anion-exchange
- Useful for inorganic and organic anions
- Ideal for the separation of water-soluble vitamins
- Useful for the separation of bio-molecules such as nucleotides, nucleosides, oligonucleotides, oligodeoxynucleotides, amino aicds, and peptides.
